Liberty announced this week that the results of its “renaissance” last February had smashed every expectation as revenues last year soared by a fifth.
Against extremely tight timescales, Endpoint worked in partnership with Liberty’s in-house graphics team to create a signage design style within the store’s visionary environments. Geoffroy de la Bourdonnaye, The Regent Street department store’s chief executive said “the team worked faster, the work came in under budget, and we’ve had more attention as a result of the new look. Liberty is now the top curator of fashion and beauty in London.”
As a result sales rose almost 18 per cent across the 12 months, with fragrances, menswear and scarves leading the push over Christmas, helping group revenue rise 20 per cent.

‘The Elements’ a multi-functional complex was completed and opened in late 2008. The site in Livingstone, Scotland comprises retail outlets, and housing, leisure and catering facilities. Endpoint managed the manufacture and installation of all high-level brand signage graphics for an extension building as part of the project’s final phase. We also developed, manufactured and installed an innovative wayfinding system designed by Saatchi X. Working with Saatchi X from the initial concept design stage, producing cost estimates, samples and program schedules, lead to a smooth and efficient contracting phase, saving the client time and money.
Endpoint was employed by Liberty to act as signage and wayfinding consultants for the store’s ‘Renaissance’, to develop a new navigational system across the store’s restructured six floors. The refurbishment is hailed as the most significant in the store’s 85 year history, and positive feedback on the impact of the new signage scheme has been offered by the client.

We have been appointed as signage and wayfinding consultants for Aston University. The brief consists of an assessment of the current wayfinding system in their hugely complex main building, and a proposal detailing a new signage solution that meets the requirements of the University. Genevieve Smith is project manager working with Alex Welling and Gail Knight on the account. We are building a substantial portfolio in the higher education sector having worked on projects with North Glasgow College, University of Sheffield and Thames Valley University amongst others.
Endpoint has been appointed by Guy’s and St Thomas’ to handle implementation for the hospitals’ groundbreaking new signage and wayfinding scheme.
Working closely with the client, Endpoint has developed wayfinding signage, overhead signage and wing totems based on independent agency Healthcare Design’s strategy.
“It is fantastic to be working on such a renowned hospital” said Neil Kite, Endpoint design engineer. “There are so many important factors to consider when working on this sort of account, from hygiene requirements to patient needs. It is our job to make getting around the hospital as easy as possible, but high quality signage also reassures patients and creates a better working environment. These hospitals offer some of world’s greatest medical care but they are large facilities and are used by literally tens of thousands of people each week – we hope to make life simpler for both patients and staff”.
Both Guy’s and St Thomas’ hospitals are undergoing significant changes to improve wayfinding clarity, simplifying the user experience. Funded by the Guy’s and St Thomas’ charity, the project’s aim is make the hospitals’ environments reflect the world-class treatment on offer.
