Wingate Square
Development & implementation of wayfinding strategy for residential and commercial development
Introduced to the project by architects Harper Downie at an early stage, Endpoint created and implemented a wayfinding system for this residential and commercial development. The complex, situated in Clapham Old Town, south-west London, comprises approximately 170 apartments, as well as restaurants, shops and offices.
Designs - including typeface, colours and layouts - were carefully chosen to compliment architectural features, and materials, finishes and sign formats took a lead from those found within the development’s construction. Resulting specifications were consistently applied across the various sizes of monoliths, and the information signs and building numbers constituting the sign family. Locations of signs were also carefully considered in ensuring easy navigation without ever over-signing.
Working around Laing O’Rourke’s phased construction programme, Endpoint managed the installation of all signage. Brand guidelines were also created in order to guarantee consistency in any future sign requirements.
Endpoint also developed and delivered a clothing range, consistent with the brand identity, for all Wingate Square workers such as management, office workers and cleaners.
