Jurys Inn

Signage that reflects the overall brand identity without stifling the individual identity of each hotel.

Brand implementation

Jurys Inn wanted to update its visual identity as part of a larger project to rebrand. It was keen to retain certain elements of the existing identity in order to maintain consistency, but felt there was a need for change particularly across its estate of hotel properties. Bloom Design created an updated logo and Endpoint were on-hand to turn the 2-D concepts into real-life 3-D encounters across buildings and environments.

An initial audit of its Milton Keynes hotel was undertaken and a report produced highlighting areas for consideration and potential brand strengthening opportunities. From this report, a focus was taken for internal and external signage, which included the development of a sign family for the chain to adhere to at new-build and refurbishment properties.

Along with application guidelines, Endpoint also recommended material and sign specification options, producing samples of new layouts for client approval. As a step change towards the final revised identity, interim sign families were developed for 4 UK hotels and a new hotel in Prague opening during summer 2009.

Jurys Inn was looking to further develop its brand identity and our sign specification development work put the team in an excellent position to be able to implement the final designs when they were confirmed.
